Tyler-Durden-Fight-Club-I-Want-You-to-Hit-Me-as-Hard-As-You-Can

Rise up with courage fight the beast
Be brave- Be wild- Or he will feast
His appetite is fierce he won’t give in
Leaving massive scars deep within
Gather up your anguish to fight the savage
Ready for clemency Ready to ravage
Release your heartache to be your drive
Leading to its death but you will survive

  4. Yes, I love that! Look the beast in the eye and see how it shrinks. Transform the heartache into constructive energy. That was a powerful poem, Carisa, and a great song to go with! πŸ’ͺ

    • Thank you, Geetha! I do have colossal scars that I’ve carried all my life. I think we all have scars that seem to pop up again and again. I’m trying to be stronger than the pain. Life can be unfair but it can also be beautiful! Always love seeing you, Gerrha! Thank you for all your kindness! πŸ™‚

so very true…we have to have the courage to let it go… great poem and awesome accompanying animated gifs. Oh, and the song – sigh, that takes me back and so apt πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! I’m humbled πŸ™‚ I believe you’re right about courage. I never thought I had courage… As I’ve grown I’m proud of myself. I’m uneasy about certain things but it doesn’t stop me from moving forward. Pat is one of my all time favorites. All her songs are so fierce and inspiring. πŸ™‚

You are welcome, Carisa! πŸ™‚ We never know what we have within us until we need it. What you describe is courage – kudos! Yes, Pat’s music is timeless and has always sent great messages. πŸ™‚

  8. Pat Benatar! Jeez but she was sexy!! As a scoolbuy, she was right up there with Annefried and Agnetha from ABBA. I don’t have to listen to sing: “You don’t fight fair, that’s okay, see if I care!” Beats “Can you hear the drums, Fernando!”)

  16. Really Beautiful Carisa…we are all survivors of something, and your empowering words help those of us that still struggle ღ

    • Hi! Mark πŸ™‚ I’m right there with you on struggling. We are all survivors of somethings is the truth, isn’t it!? It’s sometimes bewildering what the body can endure. I would rather go through the worst pain delivered rather anything to do with my heart. Somethings stay with us our lifetime. I’m learning to embrace my struggles that I know I will never get over.
The phrase…”It is what it is” is released from my mouth everyday. I always know you get me! I’m sorry you do but we can encourage each other! πŸ˜‰ ❀
