January’s Tears Released
My tears were given..
ClemencyThey were…
Vindicated
They were …
Exonerated
They were…
Pardoned
They were…
Released
They were…
Acquitted
They were…
Forgiven
They were…
Innocent
They were…
Cleared
They were…
Sprung
They were…
Freed
Most of all they were..
Justified

Beautiful. Tears no longer bound by the ghosts of the past, but free to fall to all of life’s foibles and joys of the future.. Carisa, a vulnerable post no doubt, but one so undeniably human. Thank you for sharing such personal feelings. ❤

Malaika,
Ahhh, thank you so much. Your words mean so much! When pieces are so personal to me, it’s hard to ever show anyone. It’s almost as if I’m exposing all my secrets. Your words make feel secure. Thank you ❤️

Thank you for your kind words.
It is one of my favorite poems I’ve ever written. I have over a thousand pieces Ive written but this one was so bittersweet for me. ❤️

“Pain demands to be felt” so yes tears are always justified. Your pain is your pain, nobody should take your right away to feel it, this was so eloquently expressed Carisa ❤

Zee,
Thank you for your beautiful comment.
You are completely right. Sometimes you forget it’s okay to express your own sadness. I have always been the type to bottle up my sad emotions. Now that I’m older I know that one day they will overflow. They will have to be dealt with sooner or later.
Thank you! ❤️

I’m learning to embrace this part of me too, It’s not easy owning up to your pain and putting it out in front of the world to see. But once you do it is very liberating 🙂

I agree!!! Yes!!! With holding grief and pain is a dam of pressure, it’s a horrible horrible wall. Honestly it takes time, and of course every situation has various degrees of pressure, but know it takes time. Time and lots of time… let the tears pour, it’s okay. It feels good. I noticed even my eyes cleared up a bit, the color started coming back. You are a beautiful woman and just be easy on yourself. Big hugs and thanks for the love back!!! Thank you!!!!

Soulful and poignant. Wipe those tears, cause you just made everyone who read that feel warm. Not an easy thing to achieve. So kudos to you for that.
